In recent months, UCLG has been carried out a series of consultations to collect contributions from governments around the world in order to develop a Global Agenda of Local and Regional Governments for the twenty-first century.
These consultations which has actively participated Barcelona Provincial Council, through the Committee on Decentralisation and Local Self-government, were organized in different groups according to the type of territory, being grouped into: a) metropolitan and peripheral cities, b) intermediary cities, and c) regions, towns and small municipalities. The results of these meetings are collected in three short papers:
Contributions resulting from these consultations are part of the core of the Global Agenda of Local and Regional Governments and the next Global Report on Decentralization and Local Democracy (GOLD Report). In addition, the conclusions will be part of the contributions that UCLG will present to Habitat III CGLU.
